Post traumatic arthritis results from an injury to the ball, socket or both of the hip joint.
Malunited acetabular fractures, femoral head fractures, pelvic fractures are the main injuries that can lead to post traumatic arthritis. In India, acetabular or socket fractures are the most common cause of post traumatic arthritis.
Symptoms- develop shortly or after several years. You may experience discomfort or pain in the injured hip even after the treatment is over. You might limp on the affected leg. The leg may become shorter and deformed.
